


During his youth, Alex was a member of the Team Maryland hockey program and. grant to complete analysis of data for a research project on police officers’ occupational personality.ġ991-1992: $8,430 grant from the American Society for Industrial Security to develop a video based program for training security personnel in ethical issues related to security work.ġ985-1986: $130,000 grant from the New York City Department of Mental Health in cooperation with the New York City Police Department to create a program for training police officers to manage situations involving emotionally disturbed persons.ġ985: $870,000 grant from the New York City Police Department to set up and direct a program to prepare police officers, especially minority group members, for a civil service examination for promotion to the rank of Sergeant.ġ984: (with Robert Hair, Alexander Laubach, and Peter Shenkin) $100,000 Title III Grant, “Technical Component for Security Management Program.”ġ982: $38,000 grant from the New York City Police Department to compose tutoring materials, organize a six-week program and train instructors from the New York City Police Department Academy to tutor minority applicants for the civil service exam for Police Officer positions. He is survived by his wife, Sandra, his daughter, Victoria Hetey of Las Vegas, her husband, Michael, and their two sons Alexander and Christopher Hetey. Alex Panzarella is a 2011 graduate of Gonzaga College High School, where he helped win a MAPHL championship in 2010.
